Through our fundraising efforts, Woerther PTO supports academic enrichment programs and capital improvements that impact every subject and every grade level in the school.  In addition, we host many special activities to promote school spirit and a sense of community among Woerther families. Click here to see our PTO dollars at work.  The following information lists our current fundraising opportunities. We certainly don’t expect you to participate in all fundraisers, but hopefully you will find at least one that appeal to you and your family. 

Entertainment Books (September 2 – September 16)

 The Entertainment® membership book is packed with $1,000s in savings on things you do every day. The book quickly pays for itself.  You support your local economy every time you use it.  The Entertainment Books cost $30/book.  PTO receives 50% of all monies made on the sale of the books. 

 Woerther Wings Club (donation/buy-out)

If your family would rather donate money to the PTO instead of selling items we are offering a donation/buy out option called Woerther Wings Club.  If you participate in the donation/buy out option then you will not need to sell the Entertainment Books or TJ's Pizza.  There are a number of ways to contribute & these contributions can be written off on your 2011 or 2012 taxes.  Choose your own amount or choose to contribute based on prize levels listed below.  Click here for a donation form.

• Level 3 - $50+           --   Trunk or Treat parking pass

You may donate and still sell entertainment books and pizza.  Totally up to you!  To qualify for incentives all donations must be received by September 23, but you can donate throughout the year.

 TJ's Pizza (February 10-24, 2012)

New this year!  We've decided to sell the ever popular TJ's Pizza.  TJ's is a "St. Louis Style" pizza, which also includes desserts, braided breads and cookie dough.  Woerther PTO will receive 40% of the sales. 

         Rummage Sale (March 10)

This was such a successful fundraiser last year we've decided to do it again.  Proceeds will go towards new benches in front of the school or a new trophy case for the lobby.  Start cleaning out those closets and basements and get ready to sell your stuff.  100% of profit goes to Woerther.

 Box Tops for Education         

Box Tops for Education is a fundraiser that doesn't cost you anthing.  Simply save the box tops from various General Mills, Ziploc, Pillsbury and many other products.  Woerther makes 10¢ for every Box Top you clip and turn in.  Visit www.boxtops4education.com for more information.

Click here for an easy way to organize your box tops.  Put your name on the form and turn into the office.  The individual who turns in the most box tops at the end of the semester will win a prize.

Do you shop online?  Did you know that you can earn box tops while shopping online?  There are over online 100 retailers, including Target, Walmart, Shutterfly, Snapfish, Home Depot and many, many more.  Start your shopping at www.btfe.com and earn box tops for every $10 you spend.

Printer Cartridge Recycle Program

We want your used ink jet cartridges! Drop off your used ink jet cartridges in the cardboard receptacle located in the lobby. 

 

Do you have a business or know of a business that would like to donate their used toner cartridges? We would be happy to recycle them! This recycling effort is a win-win for the environment and our school PTO!

Schnucks e-Scrip

Fundraising made EASY!  Earn money for Woerther Elementary simply by shopping.  Up to 3% of your grocery bill is given directly back to our school.  Get started today! 

• Just pick up a Schnucks eScrip card either from the school office or from the customer service desk at Schnucks. 
• Activate your card on-line at www.escrip.com or call the 800 # listed on the front of the card.
• Choose Woerther Elementary as one of your designated groups to receive up to 3% of your total purchase.
• Hand your card to the cashier at ANY time during your checkout process.
• Watch the dollars ADD up!
